Intertidal Walk at Neil Island
Neil Island is the perfect place to go on intertidal walks. Watch the drama unfold as we take you on a guided tour with our in-house naturalist, of the sometimes full and sometimes dry intertidal pools filled with strange and fascinating marine creatures. Spot the uniquest of beings– from the hardest of snails to the softest of sea cucumbers, from the flattest of worms to the roundest of sea urchins. And from stationary giant clams to lightning-fast shrimps all sheltered in nature’s crazy jungle gym housed on the edge of the curve where land meets sea.
One of the oldest communal organisms of our time, corals have survived thousands of years of changing climates, moving earth pieces and migrating humans. From the spectacle of Natural Bridge, Lakshmanpur Beach to the hidden alleys of the coral architecture strewn across our island, we welcome you to experience Neil Island’s intertidal zone!

Neil is a tiny but beautiful island, connected to both Port Blair (1.5 hours) and Havelock (45 minutes) by ferry. People in a hurry spend just about a day here but we suggest you keep at-least (if possible more) 2 days at hand to be able to relax and soak in the slow island life. When there, visit natural bridge, sunset beach and try scuba Diving/snorkeling.
