This period witnesses plenty of heavy rainfall, and tours have often been cancelled due to cyclonic weather or strong winds.

Flights are the fastest and most convenient mode of travel. Direct flights are available form Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag and Hyderabad as on March 2025. It take between 2 to 3.5 hours based on your departure location. Ships (basic and take about 3-4 days) ply from Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag and are not popular with tourists.
