Dew Dale is a brave attempt to develop and promote the concept of eco tourism in the rural surroundings of Baratang. Located of the beaten tracks this resort offers once luxurious cottages in the quiet rural setting. The resort is a true gem compared to all other accommodation options in Baratang. But being the only private place to stay for tourists allows the owners to keep the prices high. Fully furnished and very spacious rooms have spotless bathrooms and unlimited supply of hot water. The beds are comfortable with clean linens and there is also a cable TV. However don’t expect a five star hotel, as the place should use a bit of renovation. They also have a spacious multi-cuisine restaurant, which is closed in low season. If bored, they can organise all sorts of activities such as snorkelling, bicycle tours around the island, rainforest trekking or adventures boat rides trough mangroves. They can also provide a true rural experience, taking the guests to the fields. Famous islands attractions are reachable with a car and the village is a 15min drive away. Dew Dale offers a peek into a different side of Andaman islands, where there is not only the sea and sand, but also agriculture and rural environment.
