About Nature Park and Interpretation Centre

The Nature Park and Interpretation Centre at Haddo, Port Blair, is dedicated to showcasing the rich biodiversity of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Managed by the Forest Department, it features exhibits on mangroves, marine life, forests, and wildlife unique to the islands. Visitors can explore models, dioramas, and informative displays that explain the fragile island ecosystem. The centre is especially useful for first-time travellers, students, and nature enthusiasts who want to understand the region’s environment before heading out to explore. It’s centrally located in Port Blair, making it an easy educational stop for tourists.

How to reach Nature Park and Interpretation Centre?

Once the Mini Zoo, this Haddo-based centre is a new addition to Port Blair’s attractions. It is situated at the city’s northern end and next to the Haddo Jetty, Samudrika Museum, and many popular hotels. 

It’s a short distance (3kms) from the city centre and can be easily reached by renting a taxi, auto-rickshaw or 2-wheeler (daily rentals). 

There is plenty of Parking space available. When there, you must walk around on foot as vehicles are only allowed till the entrance.
