Plan Local Travel in Advance

Getting around Rangat can be a bit challenging due to limited local transport options. Public buses and shared jeeps connect major areas, but they may not follow strict schedules. Auto-rickshaws are available for short distances, but may be hard to find in remote areas. For first-time travellers, it’s best to arrange transport in advance through your hotel or a local operator, especially if you’re planning to visit eco-tourism sites like Dhani Nallah or Amkunj Beach.

Getting Around in Rangat

Getting around Rangat is easy; it is a small town so you can cover it all by foot. On the other hand if you would like to visit the near by attractions it can be quite difficult and pricey. The distances between attractions are quite remote and too far to be reached on foot. There are public jeeps and auto-rickshaws available but can be very expensive for non-locals. Unfortunately there are no scooter or bike rentals possible. But try to hop on the local buses that can take you in the direction of Mayabunder and you can hop off at the wished attraction. Do ask for exact timings though, as there are only few rides per day.
