2. Boat Ride to Ross and Smith Islands
Ross and Smith Islands can be reached only by boat from Aerial Bay Jetty. The boat ride takes around 20 minutes through clear blue waters before reaching the famous twin islands and sandbar.
Visitors also need a forest permit before boarding the boat, which can usually be obtained near the jetty area itself. The counter staff generally guide travellers through the permit process before departure.
Boats can either be shared with other travellers or booked privately, depending on availability and group size.
