Things to Do in Laxmanpur Beach

Laxmanpur Beach is one of those places where there isn’t much to “do” in the traditional sense, and that’s exactly why people love it. Most visitors come here to slow down, enjoy the open shoreline, and experience one of the best sunsets in the Andaman Islands.

Experience the Famous Sunset

Natural Bridge 1
Natural Bridge 2

If you’re visiting Laxmanpur Beach, plan your trip around sunset. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the entire beach transforms with shades of orange, pink, and gold. The wide shoreline gives everyone plenty of space to sit, walk around, or simply enjoy the view without feeling crowded.

Unlike many sunset points that involve viewpoints or platforms, here you get an uninterrupted view of the sea, making the experience feel much more natural and relaxed.

Walk Along the Shoreline

One of the best ways to enjoy Laxmanpur Beach is simply by taking a walk. The beach stretches for a long distance, and during low tide, the shoreline becomes even wider. You’ll come across interesting coral fragments, smooth rock formations, and quiet corners where you can sit and enjoy the sound of the waves.

Many visitors spend an hour or two here without realizing how quickly time passes.

Couple & Family Photoshoots

The wide sandy shoreline, open sea views, and beautiful sunset colours make Laxmanpur Beach a popular location for couple and family photoshoots. Many honeymooners visiting Neil Island choose to spend an evening here capturing relaxed beach photographs against the backdrop of the setting sun.

Families also enjoy taking pictures along the expansive shoreline, especially during low tide when the beach appears even wider. The natural setting, peaceful atmosphere, and unobstructed views create a perfect backdrop for memorable holiday photos without the crowds often found at more commercial beaches like Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Island.

This feels much more authentic to the actual visitor experience at Laxmanpur Beach.

Enjoy Local Snacks & Souvenir Shopping

At sunset time, small stalls and local vendors near the beach become active. Visitors can enjoy fresh coconuts, light snacks, tea, and local refreshments while spending time by the shore.

The area is also a good place to browse for souvenirs, with shops selling seashell crafts, handmade jewellery, keychains, decorative items, beachwear, handbags, and locally made handicrafts. Many travellers spend some time shopping here before or after sunset, making it a pleasant stop beyond just enjoying the beach.
